Jetman (Yves Rossy)
Parachuting down after his performance.
Unfortunately, his act at Reno took place at 8 or 10,000' so really all we could see was faint smoke and a tiny, tiny black dot. That fly you see on your ceiling? That's way bigger than Jetman looked. At around 600mm of focal length you can kinda finally sort of tell what you're looking at...
The altitude was deemed necessary for safety, that being of paramount importance. Unsafe is worse than a boring performance. Unfortunately though, this makes it kind of useless as a spectator event as performed at Reno. Awesome on YouTube though. He says he's working on a wing capable of ground take-offs, so there's something to look forward to!
It was a great draw for people though. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE talked about how cool it was going to be to see Jetman!
