The Diamond Creek Takeout at mile 225.9 is where many river companies stop their trips, thus depriving one of a look at the Grand Wash Cliffs where the Grand Canyon ends at mile 277. This is the first road to make it to the river since Lee's Ferry at mile 0 and is susceptible to occasional flash flooding. This side canyon belongs to the Hualapai tribe, who run trips of their own downriver from this point. It's a 22 mile drive from here up up a dirt road/creek bed to Peach Springs, where pavement begins.

There's a nice rapid right below the takeout and it'd be nice to just pass it right by and continue on down the river. Haven't had that luck yet though...
